I am Silvia del Rio, a certified optometrist with over 4 years of experience. My mission is to provide accessible, high-quality eye care with a personal approach, right here in the Zorgplein health center in Amsterdam.
My Philosophy: Eye Care with Passion and Expertise
Excellent eye care begins with listening. I am dedicated to providing the highest quality of service, taking the time to understand your needs and finding tailor-made solutions for every individual.
In addition to my private practice, I also work at an eye laser clinic and an eye health clinic. This diverse experience allows me to diagnose and advise on a wide range of eye conditions.
A Unique Role in Amsterdam's Eye Care System
As an optometrist, I play a vital role as a bridge between opticians and ophthalmologists, making the entire system more efficient. I take on complex eye examinations to relieve overloaded opticians and manage common eye complaints to reduce the long waiting times for ophthalmologists. This ensures every patient gets the right care, faster.
Collaboration with Huisarts+punt
Since early 2024, Zeker Zicht has partnered with Huisarts+punt to optimize care. This allows General Practitioners (GPs) to refer patients with eye complaints directly to my practice for a quick and efficient diagnosis. If more specialized medical care is needed, I ensure a direct and well-founded referral to an ophthalmologist.
